Provided power to offshore wind farm workboats while docked at the Galloper OCCB.
Submit Risk Assessment Method Statement for the work carried out.
Installed a 100 Amp 3 Phase supply to a distribution board positioned on the quayside.
Install change over switch to allow for connection of the generator in the event of power failure.
Install 4 marine pedestals along the quayside at 50, 100, 150, 200-meter intervals. Each pedestal provided two 32 Amp sockets.
Earthing of structural steel and fuel tanks on the quayside.
Install Backup generators and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) to MCC operations electrical supply.
Provide Electrical Installation Certificate for the work carried out.
Repair and replacement of faulty lights before Perenco moved into the new premises at Peel Ports Great Yarmouth.
After speaking to the client during our site visit, I explained that repairing the existing faulty lights would be a more expensive option in the medium /long term as these lights were old, inefficient and would require regular repairs.
Based on our research, we recommended a complete lighting upgrade, providing cheaper running costs and increased energy efficiency. We made a presentation to Perenco with a full lighting specification design and a breakdown of our installation costs.
After the work was approved, we carried out the complete lighting upgrade in the new Perenco warehouse and workshop areas. This involved disconnecting 112 lights fittings and replace with 36 new LED warehouse lights which vastly increased light output, whilst simultaneously significantly reducing running costs.

This project was for the Stowen Group, at Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm, and involved designing and installing a full ventilation control and warning system for the Anode Project.
Find a solution to save energy and reduce running costs.
Danny Daniels from DSL contacted AC Electrical to talk to us about ways they can saving energy and reduce the running costs of the lighting in the communal areas of the building such as the corridors, kitchens and toilets. We carried out a site survey of the installation and looked at what was installed and what the LED equivalent would be. To further increase energy and cost savings we proposed to install occupancy sensors in all areas to allow the lights to operate only if they were occupied and if the natural light levels required it. We were able to fully adjust the occupancy sensors to the natural light levels and time settings for each different area, ensuring lights were on only if required and for the minimum amount of time necessary before dimming down and turning off.
